השותפות בין המועצה האזורית רמת הנגב לבין קרן הלמסלי היא אבן יסוד במאמצים ארוכי הטווח לחיזוק מערכות הבריאות, החוסן הקהילתי ואיכות החיים בפריפריה הדרומית של מדינת ישראל.
קרן הלמסלי היא גוף פילנתרופי בינלאומי הפועל לשיפור חייהם של אנשים בהווה ולבניית עתיד חזק ובריא יותר ליחידים ולקהילות. הקרן משקיעה ביוזמות חדשניות ובפתרונות ארוכי טווח, ובכלל זה בישראל ובתחום הבריאות בפריפריה, תוך שותפות הדוקה עם ארגונים הפועלים בשטח.
ברמת הנגב, שותפות זו אפשרה קידום פרויקטים אזוריים רחבי היקף ובעלי חשיבות אסטרטגית. יחד הקמנו את המרפאה האזורית, פרויקט משמעותי ששינה את פני שירותי הבריאות באזור, שיפר את הנגישות לטיפול רפואי איכותי, וחיזק את החוסן האזרחי של יישובי הנגב. בהמשך לכך, אנו פועלים כיום בשותפות מלאה להקמת מרכז אזורי לאזרחים ותיקים, אשר יספק מענה כולל לצרכים החברתיים, הבריאותיים והקהילתיים של אוכלוסיית הגיל השלישי באזור. במקביל, אנו מקדמים את הקמתו של אודיטוריום אזורי, שישמש מוקד תרבותי, חינוכי וקהילתי לכלל תושבי המועצה והאזור.

The partnership between the Ramat HaNegev Regional Council and The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust is a cornerstone of our long-term efforts to strengthen health, resilience, and quality of life in Israel’s southern periphery.
The Helmsley Charitable Trust is a global philanthropy dedicated to helping people live better lives today while building stronger and healthier futures for individuals and communities. Through strategic investments across key program areas, including Israel and rural healthcare, the Trust partners with organizations to advance innovative, impactful, and sustainable solutions.
In Ramat HaNegev, this partnership has enabled the development of large-scale, strategic projects that address critical regional needs and serve as anchors for long-term growth. Together, we established the regional medical clinic, a transformative investment that significantly improved access to quality healthcare for residents across the Negev. This clinic serves a geographically vast and remote population, strengthening both physical health and community resilience. Building on this foundation, we are currently working in close partnership on the development of a Regional Senior Citizens Center, designed to provide comprehensive services, social engagement, and dignity for the region’s growing senior population. In parallel, we are advancing plans for a regional auditorium, envisioned as a cultural, educational, and community hub serving residents of all ages and strengthening the social fabric of the Negev.
Beyond the individual projects, our partnership with the Helmsley Charitable Trust reflects a shared commitment to long-term, systemic impact. Together, we focus on strengthening public infrastructure, advancing health and well-being, and ensuring that residents of Israel’s periphery have access to high-quality services comparable to those in the country’s center.
