השותפות בין המועצה האזורית רמת הנגב לבין JNF אוסטרליה היא שותפות ארוכת שנים, המבוססת על אמון, ערכים משותפים ומחויבות עמוקה לחיזוק הפריפריה הדרומית של ישראל, ובפרט אזור הנגב.

 אוסטרליה JNFהוא ארגון קהילתי מרכזי ומוערך, הפועל לקידום פרויקטים סביבתיים, חינוכיים וחברתיים, תוך שמירה על קשר חי ומוחשי בין העם היהודי למדינת ישראל. ההתמקדות של JNF אוסטרליה בנגב משקפת תפיסה משותפת הרואה באזור זה מפתח לחוסנה, קיימותה ועתידה של המדינה.

לאורך השנים, שותפות זו תורגמה לעשייה משמעותית בשטח. יחד הובלנו והקמנו שורה ארוכה של פרויקטים אסטרטגיים, אשר עיצבו את חיי היומיום בנגב וחיזקו קהילות ותשתיות כאחד. בין היתר, הוקם התיכון האזורי הראשון באזור, מרכז קהילתי באזור ניצנה, פארקי משחקים וגינות קהילתיות ביישובים טללים, קדש ברנע ומדרשת בן־גוריון, שכונות חדשות ביישובים ובהם שיזף, וכן פרויקטים קהילתיים נוספים המחזקים את המרקם האזרחי והחברתי. השותפות כללה גם תרומה משמעותית לפיתוח אזורים מרוחקים, בהם הקמת פארק הציפורים בניצנה, המשלב שמירת טבע, חינוך סביבתי וחיזוק קהילה. 

מעבר לפרויקטים עצמם, השותפות עם JNF אוסטרליה מבטאת תפיסה משותפת של פיתוח אחראי וארוך טווח, המאזן בין שמירה על הסביבה, חוסן קהילתי ואיכות חיים גבוהה. בהשראת חזונו של דוד בן־גוריון, הרואה בנגב משימה לאומית והזדמנות לעתיד ישראל, אנו ממשיכים לפעול יחד למען חיזוק יישובי הדרום ותושביהם.

Partnership with JNF Australia

The partnership between the Ramat HaNegev Regional Council and JNF Australia is a long-standing and deeply rooted relationship, built on shared values, mutual trust, and a common commitment to strengthening Israel’s southern periphery, particularly the Negev.

JNF Australia is a prominent and trusted communal organization, dedicated to advancing environmental, educational, and social welfare projects, while maintaining a strong and tangible connection between the Jewish people and the State of Israel. Its focus on the Negev reflects a shared understanding that Israel’s future resilience and sustainability depend on the strength of its peripheral regions.

Over the years, this partnership has translated vision into impactful action on the ground. Together, we have led and implemented a wide range of strategic projects that have shaped daily life in the Negev and strengthened both community and infrastructure. These include the establishment of the region’s first regional high school, the development of a community center in the Nitzana area, the creation of playgrounds and community parks in Talalim, Kadesh Barnea, and other localities, the development of new residential neighborhoods in communities such as Sheizaf, and the establishment of community gardens in Midreshet Ben-Gurion. Our joint efforts have also played a key role in advancing community life in remote areas, including the establishment of the new community in Nitzana region and the development of the bird park in the Nitzana area, which integrates environmental conservation, education, and community engagement.

Beyond individual projects, the partnership with JNF Australia reflects a shared belief in long-term, responsible development that balances environmental stewardship, community resilience, and a high quality of life. Inspired by David Ben-Gurion’s vision of the Negev as a national mission and opportunity, we continue to work together to ensure that residents of Israel’s periphery can fully share in the country’s success story.
